Swine flu medicines in all hospitals

Hyderabad : Trying to allay fears among people on growing number of Swine flu deaths, NIMS Director Dr Narendranath on Tuesday asked the public to avoid panic and visit the hospitals to check the problem besides being clean and maintaining hygiene. Speaking to media in the Secretariat he said that people should avoid the spread or attraction of the virus by keeping a handkerchief or a towel across mouth while coughing and sneezing.


As per the norms of World Health Organisation (WHO), government hospitals are cautious in implementing the stipulated norms to deal with swine flu cases, said Nims director, adding there was no shortage of medicines at the hospitals and people can go and check the problem. Speaking about the growing number of deaths due to Swine flu he said that till Tuesday, it was put at 16 while it was 13 on Monday.


Out of 106 samples, 46 tested positive for swine flu. He also said that they have distributed adequate number of medicines to all government hospitals and some chosen private hospitals in the State and urged people to contact when they feel affected by symptoms of Swine flu and take prior steps in advance to overcome the problem, he said.
