Alleging negligence by the government in taking up works of Kalwakurthy lift irrigation project and delay in construction, BJP national executive member Nagam Janardhan Reddy sat on protest in Mahabubnagar on Friday. The BJP leader had given an ultimatum to the government that he would sit on protest in the district from Friday if the government fails to start the works of the Kalwakurthy lift irrigation project.
Nagam Janardhan Reddy alleged that there were no works going on the project. He said that he had visited the Kalwakurthy lift irrigation project at site on Monday and there were no works going on at the project site. He alleged that there were no works at lift 1, 2 and 3 at the project site and added that the ministers were misleading by spreading lies.
