Hyderabad : Commercial Taxes Minister T Srinivas Yadav asked the Hyderabad Metro Rail authorities to complete the works as per schedule without causing inconvenience to people. The minister along with the Hyderabad Metro Rail MD N V S Reddy, GHMC commissioner Somesh Kumar inspected the metro rail works between Ameerpet and Greenlands stretch on Wednesday. The minister said that it was a dream project of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and the officials should ensure the works are completed well within time.
When the people in the locality stating that they were facing a lot of inconvenience because of the works, the minister said that the government was taking up the metro rail project as a prestige issue and the people should also support. “Once the 72-km metro comes into existence there will not be any traffic problems and the Chief Minister has also assured to take the metro to city outskirts,” said Yadav.
