Monthly allowance to Beedi Workers: CM Chandhrashekarrao
Hyderad: TRS's implumentate another seheme in its manifesto. CM Kalvakuntla Chandhrashekarrao said that as per the Intensive Household Survey, there were 4.90 lakh beedi workers in the State. Of them, one lakh were getting benefits under the Central Government's Provident Fund scheme and nearly 1.40 lakh were already getting pension under the Aasra scheme. Therefore, the proposed incentive would be given to the remaining 2.5 lakh workers who were not covered under any scheme.
Government is decided to issue Monthly allowance of Rs.1000 to Beedi workers. Today CM Kalvakuntla Chandhrashekarrao spoke with reporters in secretariat. He said that since March 1 Government will distribute Rs.1000 allowance to beedi workers. Nobody can confuse regarding this scheme. Government is ready to offer this scheme to each and every eligibly persons.
