KTR vows support to journos
Hyderabad : Panchayat Raj Minister K Taraka Rama Rao on Thursday said that the State government was committed to the welfare of journalists of Telangana. He also said that they would do complete justice to the journalist community for playing a pro-active role in the separate state agitation. He said that the State government would never forget the services extended by the journalists during the agitation period.Participating in a memorial meeting of senior journalist Hariprasad at Somajiguda Press Club, KTR assured the journalists he would take the lead for fulfillment of demands including issuance of health and accreditation cards to all media professionals although he was not holding the portfolio. He asked the journalists’ union leaders to come forward with a specific proposal for the fulfillment of their demands. The minister said that the State government had already allocated Rs10 crore for the welfare of all the scribes.
