Dattatreya writes to Jaitley for central funds
Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment Bandaru Dattatreya on Saturday wrote a letter to Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to make special allocation for Hyderabad for creation of infrastructure as a special case as the metropolitan city lacks international standards in terms of infrastructure, sewerage and drainage facility.Dattatreya pointed out in his letter that while the XIII Finance Commission had recommended an amount of Rs 3,139.46 crore to the Telangana State, from which an amount of Rs 1,112 crore has been released and the new State is yet to get the balance amount of Rs 2,027.45 crore from the Centre. As the Telangana government has furnished utilisation certificates for an amount of Rs 972.94 crore, the remaining amount may be released at the earliest to the fledgling State.
