‘Scheme for migrant workers soon’
Hyderabad : Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya on Friday said that very soon his government would bring up a new scheme for benefit of migrant construction labour by providing stipend on hourly basis. The minister said that the pilot scheme was in place in Telangana and it was getting good response and very soon the scheme would be launched in the country.
Reforms are being made to regulate the unorganized labor sector in the country, he said addressing a conference on ‘Informality, migration and vulnerability: building a concrete legislative framework’ organized by a city based civic-organization ‘Yugantar’.
