Bonanza for reps of panchayats,urban local bodies

Hyderabad : Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Friday announced a massive hike in the honorarium of panchayat raj and local body representatives in Telangana. The Chief Minister, who made a statement in the House on Friday in this regard, said that the hike benefits Zilla Parishad chairpersons the most as they got a whopping Rs 1 lakh honorarium per month from the existing Rs 7,500 per month.

Hiked salaries of representatives:
ZP  - Rs.1,00,000
ZPTC - Rs.10,000
MPPC - Rs.10,000
MPTC - Rs.5,000
Sarpanches - Rs.5,000
Mayors - Rs.50,000
Deputy Mayors - Rs.25,000
Muncipal corporators - Rs.6,000
Special Grade Muncipal Charimans - Rs. 15,000
Special Grade Muncipal Deputy Chaimans - Rs.7,500
Special Muncipal Councillors - Rs.3,500
Other Muncipal Chairmans - Rs.12,000
Other Muncipal vice-Chairmans - Rs.5,000
Councillors - Rs.2,500
