Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmud Ali on Saturday said that the State government was determined to take back every single inch of encroached wakf land in the State.
Ali, however, said that the process of retrieval of encroached properties may take some time as the concerned departments need to settle down before start functioning. Rebutting all the assumptions of the government being under pressure of a political party he Mohammed Mahmud Ali, “Neither are we under pressure of anyone nor we need any one’s support for that matter, but the only thing that government wanted is to work with integrity.” Speaking at the round table conference on protection of wakf land, he said that the State government would not allow any black listed candidate to be part of the wakf institution.
