Hyderabad gets fifth minar

HYDERABD : Hyderabad known for its Charminar may boast of another minar - a 100 feet tower near Osman Sagar. The elevated restaurant set up at Golkonda Resorts in Gandipet, was inaugurated by K T Ramarao, Minister for IT and Panchayat Raj.  The 423-year old historic city while on one side is competing with the advanced world with its technological capabilities, on the other hand is nurturing its rich heritage and unique cuisine.

The city has done a well balancing act by retaining Hyderabadi culture while accepting modernity. Hyderabad today is transforming into a global city.” He informed, “The State government is planning to develop Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar as tourism spots. The twin water bodies and places around them will be developed with needed amenities in near future.” N Suresh Reddy, MD, Golkonda Hotels & Resorts, said, “Jewel of Nizam-The Minar, is a fine dining restaurant on top of the Hyderabad’s fifth minar.
